Lawn Leveling

For the pictured lawn leveling, we added 4 cubic yards of rich topsoil ~$350. We seeded with a sun-and-shade mix for ~$120, and the labor came to $720. The customer paid $1190 total. This lawn is under a poplar tree that sheds its bark. After the bark rested on the lawn, many patches of grass had died and eroded the hill. Originally, this lawn was sodded, but the underside of the sod had significantly eroded. Because children play in this area, the divets were becoming a problem. This process did not happen overnight. Expect to see slow improvement over 3 months and to water daily for the first few weeks.
